All About NASONEX®

NASONEX® is a prescription medicine used to treat indoor (year-round) and outdoor (seasonal) nasal allergy symptoms—congestion, sneezing, and an itchy or runny nose.

NASONEX® is an intranasal corticosteroid. The Allergy Report published by the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology considers intranasal corticosteroids "first line" therapy for treating nasal allergy symptoms. In addition to treating nasal allergy symptoms, NASONEX® can be used to help prevent most seasonal nasal allergy symptoms before they start in patients 12 years and older when taken 2 to 4 weeks before allergy season begins. NASONEX® is also clinically proven to treat nasal polyps in patients 18 years and older.

NASONEX® is effective and has a proven safety profile. The side effects of NASONEX® were generally mild and included headache, viral infection, sore throat, nosebleeds, and coughing. NASONEX® is available by prescription only. The full benefit of NASONEX® is usually achieved within 1 to 2 weeks. Talk to your doctor to find out whether NASONEX® is right for you or your child. It is important that you take it regularly as recommended by your doctor, since its effectiveness depends on regular use.
